Welcome Letter – 2017

Dear Parents,
Welcome to the 2017-2018 White Station High School (WSHS) Band Boosters. Since you have a child participating in the WSHS band program, then you are officially a member of the WSHS Band Boosters.  The Band Boosters support the band director, Mr. Brian Sims, and the WSHS band students as well as encourage fellowship among all band parents.
One way we encourage fellowship is through volunteering. Consider volunteering! We need volunteers on all of the following committees: Audit, Band Banquet, Chaperone, Communication, Fundraising, Nominating, Transportation, and Uniform Committee. Please volunteer for one or as many committees as you can! If you have a special skill/ability (e.g., instrument cleaning/repair, photography, graphic design, painting, sewing, etc.) that you can offer to the band program, then please let us know.
Fundraising is an important part of our band program and we have several fundraising opportunities throughout the year. Group fundraisers such as car washes and BBQ sales help raise much needed funds for the band program to purchase music and office supplies, repair instruments, and so much more. Band students can also participate in individual fundraisers to earn money used to reduce the cost of the spring band trip. We welcome all ideas for fundraisers, so please volunteer your ideas and volunteer to help!
Most importantly, please be engaged in the band program by attending our monthly Band Boosters General meetings. By attending the booster meetings, you stay informed about all of the band and booster activities. General meetings are scheduled once a month and will be posted to the band website. Our band website is

Please be sure to take time to read emails from White Station Band Boosters as they contain important band information.
