My name is Jordan Robinson, and I am one of the Vice Presidents for the 2021-2022 school year. I am a Junior, and I have been playing trombone for 5 years. I am an All-West member and am in other organizations like Boy Scouts and Jack and Jill of America. I aim to make create a fun and enjoyable atmosphere in the band and to encourage people to contribute and work hard to make the band sound better. We’ve lost a year to COVID-19, but let’s bounce back better than ever, we got this!
Hello my dudes, I’m Cayenne and I’m the Social Officer and play the flute in Wind Ensemble. I am a Vice President of GirlUp Club and run track here at White Station. Outside of school I do theatre, bake, listen to music, and watch a lot of cartoons. I’m super happy to be a part of this wonderful team of leaders and am excited to have a great season this year!!
Hi, my name is Maia Roby and I’m your Band Secretary. I’m a senior and I play flute/piccolo, I’ve been playing flute since 6th grade so that’s been around 6.5 years. I’m also a dancer and use to play rugby. On the downtime I really like to sleep and listen to music. Other times you’ll catch me on gta or mk11. I’m excited to work with everyone this year!
Hi, my name is Izzy Williamson and I am the Band Reporter. I’m 15 years old, a sophomore, and I play the alto saxophone, and I’ve been playing since 6th grade. Besides band, I’m the event organizer for the WSHS Amnesty International Club! I’ve also played soccer since I was around 5 years old. I love meeting new people and helping in any way I can. I believe this year’s going to be a good one and I’m excited for the upcoming events!

I’ve been in the band for about three years. I wanted the roll of drum major because I wanted to help grow the band and make everyone feel comfortable and have fun. Another reason is just because I like music! Some of my hobbies are crocheting… a lot, listening to music, watching anime, and sleeping 😊. Hey, my name is Sandy Nguyen and I’m a Drum Major. Currently, I’m a senior and also participate in GirlUp and FBLA at White Station. As this year is my seventh year playing the clarinet, I’ve participated in All-West four times. I occasionally like playing the piano or composing my own music. In my free time, I like to bake, watch true crime documentaries, and hanging out with friends. I’m excited to see us grow as a band!
Yo! I’m Ethan Yang and I’m the Woodwinds Captain for the band this year; I’m currently in Jazz Band, but I’ve spent time in both of the other ensembles. I’m a senior, and I participate in the school’s math, Physics Olympiad, and Quizbowl teams. I play both the saxophone and the piano, and I like to bike, play video games, and garden in my free time. It sucks that we didn’t get to play last year, but we’re more than making up for it so far. The band as a whole has already made a lot of progress, and the woodwind section especially has made tremendous growth. I can’t wait to see how far we can go!
Coleman Stephens Brass Captain: I am a senior trumpet player as well as our brass captain. After this year, I will have spent a year in every ensemble. In addition, I have been on the baseball team since freshman year. In my spare time, I enjoy lifting in the offseason, watching/playing sports, and watching TV. I’m excited to get to have a season coming off of the lost year. I can’t wait to play Victorious and the fight song after we beat CBHS and Whitehaven this year! Thanks for allowing me to guide our brass section through this reset year and to continue to progress the White Station Band into the future. Onward Spartans!
Hi! My name is Ellie Pappas and I’m the Flute/Piccolo Section Leader. I’m a junior and chief copy-editor of White Station’s newspaper, The Scroll. I’m a member of the MYSOP and three-time All-West member. I love playing flute and piccolo, but also enjoy playing the piano and ukulele, which I am self-taught on. In my spare time, I can be found songwriting and composing, watching Chinese and Korean dramas, listening to music, or spending time with my family. I can’t wait to watch everyone grow this year!

Hi! I’m Cabell Mercer, the Saxophone Section Leader. I am a junior and I love participating in the marching band. I am in jazz band and have been playing for a little over 4 years. I am also on WSHS’s Robotics Team 5045 which is my other extra-curricular besides band. I have a strong passion for cars, listen to jazz and classic rock, and go fishing with friends in my free time. I am an aspiring automotive engineer. Helping people and making friends is the best part about marching band, so I’m very excited for the rest of the season!

Hi everyone! I’m Alice Chao and the Color Guard and Dance Captain. I’m a senior, so this will be my fourth and final year in color guard! During the concert season, I play oboe in the school’s wind ensemble; I also play in the Memphis Youth Symphony and am an active member of the program’s Student Advisory Board.

Hi! My name is Harini Gopi and I am Social Media Manager/Secretary for color guard. Although I do not play an instrument in band, I do play piano, violin, and guitar, so I am very musically involved. My hobbies are thrifting, dancing, painting, gardening, and spinning, of course! I am very involved in our school’s extracurriculars, but being in color guard has by far been my most memorable experience! I cannot wait to work with you guys and have a great season!
Chase Pittman is a junior in her second year of writing for The Scroll. She is a color guard officer and a member of Key Club, as well as an artist who specializes in flowers and other nature scenes. In her free time, she enjoys forcing her family to eat the food she makes, taking walks so long her family goes out to look for her, and spending too much time on overly detailed drawings.
Haiya! My name is Shivani Menon and I am the Event Manager of the color guard. I will be a sophomore and this is my second year of color guard! I am on the leadership staff for JROTC (I am the S-6), I am the Outreach Director for SAA, and I am also a member of a few clubs such as Debate, HOSA, Key Club, Knowledge Bowl, and Student Council.
